Add the Option to Create a Note Associated with a LSS Tag
I would like to be able to add a corresponding note with a LSS tag (#Automation, #Waste) in order to describe/ explain why I am adding this tag. For the purposes of #Automation, I would be able to specify how I would approach automation.
Thanks for the idea. This isn't on our roadmap right now but I agree it would be a fast way to add details around your tags. For now we'll open this for voting to measure interest from other customers.
Hi Casey, there is a workaround for this and yes it would be great, but in the meantime this is what I did in my system.
I created a hidden activity (doesn't show up on the map but still visible in the procedure) as the last activity. Use the 'non display' role to do that. See screenshot attached as a quick example.
This is how we record it:
#leantag | activity reference | suggestion for improvement
For reporting, when you use the | to separate the fields and export the report into Excel, it is easier to separate the content and create columns for each field. This is really useful when you have lots of opportunities for improvement and unique lean tags for specific business areas.
Thanks for registering this enhancement request. We feel that an option to explain a tag would be super helpful and convenient to process teams who are returning to a process after while to review tags and understand. The note gives them context, history and understanding.
As a different workaround we tag that task say for #OFI or #Waste, then have a corresponding Feedback item to explain the tag.
