This would work if you only have one person with that role in your organisation, however if you have a role which has more than one user assigned to it, how does the user know who is the process owner or process expert? Who is then accountable for the process?
Thanks for the feedback. This isn't on our roadmap and at this time we have no plans to change the current functionality of single-person ownership. Naming individuals in this way creates a greater sense of accountability for when there is feedback and reviews for the process. We'll keep this suggestion open for now however to gauge client interest. Thanks!
Not having this feature also opens up issues with staff change management. Where the role that owns the process may stay the same, the staff member may not.
