Allow a role to be assigned multiple times in a step

Some of our process steps require multiple assignment of a same role. Need to be able to assign two developers or two business analysts or multiple of any role to one step. Currently we have to create roles that combine a different number of a particular role.

Thank you very much for posting your feedback. At this time, we will not be adding this request to the near-term backlog, as we are focused on improving our search and process variation capabilities and delivering sequential approvals. However, we reevaluate requests every quarter and will reach out if priorities change. Please keep the feedback coming as it is critical for our longer-term planning.

That's an interesting way to assign roles - we do have a maximum of six roles to be assigned to an activity so my suggestion would be to indicate how many roles are needed in the activity itself either in the first Task or in a Note.

However we'll open this for voting to see if any other clients are interested. Thanks for getting in touch.

Thanks Kerry. The main reason we would like to include multiple of a same role in the role assignment is to be able to have that reflected in the cycle cost.

Hi Jesse, if you have different roles for a task it will work better if you promote that task to an activity so you can assign multiple roles. The tasks should be included as steps required to complete an activity for a specific role(s), as soon as you write a task within an activity for another role it is better to promote that task as an activity to assign the role. To workaround that we sometimes write ... "Request xx from xx (role name)" or "Receive xx from xx". Then often add a note like "How do I request xx" or "Where is xx located?". I can show you some examples if you would like to know how to do it.
