Training Module: Ability to manually set training notifications & to deactivate training if training requirement changes
Merged
Our training owners are finding that their dashboard is becoming incredibly clogged with notifications for overdue training due to the fact that we have uploaded historic data in order to retain a record of training completed across the organisation. Our training owners are proactively managing the training status/needs analysis from the Training Unit itself, rather than from their Dashboard. However, in order to ensure Promapp functions properly, they need to clear their dashboard of these notifications each day. This can take up to 10 minutes each time, which is incredibly frustrating. Would be great if we could turn notifications off for overdue training.
For many of our staff, training they completed historically is no longer a requirement for their role, either because they have shifted roles within the organisation or the needs of their role has changed. However, even with the 'Not in required role' tag, these staff are still showing as overdue/untrained if the training unit refresher period has passed. It would be great if you could somehow deactivate the refresher requirement in these situations in order to ensure the needs analysis is only pulling current training requirements.

We are looking to how to make the notification management much easier. I don't have a timeline for you but we are actively investigating better usability.
Agree strongly with the second paragraph, this was obviously just missed in the original design and testing. It creates a major headache with auditors who only work in black & white, not to mention it clogs the dashboard. Would be good for a quick fix.
How about extending the existing action functionality that you use on 'My Incidents' and applying the same logic under 'My Training' so that you can 'Mark All As Seen' as an interim work around?
We also raised the same issue in April 2020 (Nintex Support Case #00324251) and have also received a regulatory Audit non-conformance related to this issue in our last audit - particularly as relates to the second point in Caitlin's idea. Auditors can just see the overdue training, which we cannot remove after the staff member has moved departments and no longer needs that training refresher.
We are aware of these limitations and do plan to address these issues. Performance of the application is a priority right now so unfortunately we can't provide a date at this time for these changes.
Thank you for you patience and understanding.
