Problem : When multiple Process Editors amend a process, the editors as well as the approvers have no visibility of who has changed which section of a process. This hinders collaboration between process editors.
If multiple Process Editors are collaborating on a process, in Edit view, they cannot see:
What has changed between the versions
Who has made a change to a process
When they change a process
While there is a "Highlight Changes" functionality - it only shows changes between the most current version of the process and the last published version. We cannot see the nuances of changes and during collaboration sessions we cannot see who's idea it was to add or remove content.
Solution:
Introduction of a tracked changes functionality within Edit mode, that Process Editors can toggle on and off. This functionality would be similar to Tracked changes which is avaliable on Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
It can highlight additions, and deletions each user has made. Each User can be assigned a unique colour to differentiate between their contributions.
This will enhance collaboration between process editors, especially when they combine this new feature with the existing @TODO feature.
