Any process owner can switch on acknowledgements for a process, without realizing that this will generate emails to every process participant. When all staff have a role in the process, this could lead to spamming the entire company with acknowledgement messages on processes that may not need acknowledgements. We need the ability to restrict this function to Promasters.
Yes, this has been a significant issue for us as well. We've opted not to use the feature at all because it results in excessive notifications and user complaints. Ideally, acknowledgements shouldn’t be limited to Pro-masters alone. It would be far more effective if the acknowledgement settings were customizable, allowing us to specify exactly who should receive them and if the acknowledgement prompt itself were more prominent and intuitive.
We are an enterprise customer and this has happened to us . We have it defined in our processes as to when this function should be used . As the idea suggests as Promaster we have no visiblity into whom is using this function until its too late . Would be really beneficial if as a Promaster we could at least have a reporting function to capture and manage potential occurrences .
