Surface all changes in Process Change Log report

Problem to Solve

Currently the 'Process Change Log' report does not actually show all of the updates that are displayed in the change log.

Background

Feedback from customer:
"More of the important change descriptions would be great, at present it shows a few (not all) of the items in the change log, as an example it has a basic descriptions for the Published ones, with either of one of two different labels, but has a full description for the feedback (see highlighted in snip).

We would like to see the change descriptions for what the change was for when published and think by having the “Submitted” changes descriptions included in the report (See other snips further down as an example), would show our explanation of the changes directly on the report.

This would help for our audit purposes when looking at published procedures to see if the appropriate approvals have been gathered and having that commentary will help us determine if it is normal changes, Admin changes, or review changes, without having to delve into every procedure and looking at the change log for those further details."

Requirements
  • Anything logged on an individual processes' change log should be surfaced in the Process Change Log report.

In addition, the change log report does not currently pull through the change description that a Process Expert enters when making a change to the process. This information is fundamental to us having an understanding and context of the changes that are being made to processes. It would help if this information is included in the change log report. We can report on processes that have been changed & republished, but we are currently unable to report on what changes have been made.
